Robin Crossman is a cartoonist celebrated for his Wordy Art cards and prints featuring endearingly dishevelled characters. With roots in comedy writing and performing, his work merges humour with artistic creativity.

A graduate of the Vancouver Film School, Robin’s early career saw him contributing to a variety of Muppet projects as a puppet builder and performer. His comedic flair was honed at The Second City in Toronto, where he studied comedy writing, storytelling, and improv. He was an audience favourite, performing stand-up in major cities such as New York and Toronto. Co-founding a popular monthly comedy show in Toronto, Robin became a prominent figure on the local comedy scene.

Robin’s comic work has taken him abroad, with projects in the UK and Europe. However, he now focuses on endeavours closer to home, including developing an animated series inspired by his Wordy Art as co-founder of Pop Weasel Studios Ltd. This new venture allows him to bring his unique blend of humour and artistry to a broader audience, expanding his creative footprint.

Robin sells his original art, cards and prints at seasonal markets and on Etsy. His greeting cards can also be purchased locally at retailers Bolen Books, the gift shop at Craigdarroch Castle, downtown at The Papery, and Books & Shenanigans in Cook Street Village.

A rotating selection of his original art, comic prints and Wordy Art cards can be found at Makers on Government Street in Victoria BC.
